About Captain Jeremy Jones

Captain Jeremy Jones was born and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida and has lived in Florida most of his life. He grew up on a canal in North Palm Beach and started fishing with his father as soon as he could hold a pole, which was almost before he started walking.   Some kids play with toys, Captain Jeremy's favorite was a 6ft casting rod.

He owned his first boat by the time he was eight years old and has owned one ever since.  While friends in high school were modifying cars and building hot-rods,  Captain Jeremy was building bait wells, saving for out-riggers and exploring local canals with every free moment of his time.

Living in Florida, Captain Jeremy has seen the changing environment but still feels that he lives in a true paradise and is constantly reminded of this every time he's out on the water. 

Captain Jeremy has always managed to live close to the water and spend most of his free time in it, under it or on it.  Even when moving to Tampa to attend college at the University of South Florida, one of his boats was towed behind his car and docked at a marina in Bradenton.

Fishing Tampa Bay and the grouper holes off the coast helped him keep focused during school.  While attending school he and his roommate purchase an old Chris Craft Roamer and lived on the boat at Anna-Maria Island Marina.

After college he met his wife, sold the Chris Craft Roamer and moved to Key West.

While living in Key West for four years he was able to enhance his fishing skills and was out on or in the water daily. 

Although leaving the Keys was difficult, Captain Jeremy enjoys fishing off of Palm Beach again where he and his family now make their home in Jupiter, Florida.

Captain Jeremy reflected in a recent interview,  "We have such a unique opportunity with the reef right off shore and the ever-changing Gulf Stream only a few more miles further.   It creates the perfect marine environment for some of the greatest fishing in the world."

Captain Jeremy Jones holds a United States Coast Guard 25-ton master license with a commercial assistance towing endorsement.  He is also Certified in CPR.
